On the positive side, we’ve made significant strides in configuring environment variables for Azure FHIR resources integration and successfully completing the app registration process in the Azure portal. Additionally, we’ve obtained essential credentials for API access, paving the way for seamless data exchange.
However, our progress was hindered by a major roadblock: the realization that role assignment access requires admin-level permissions, preventing us from assigning the necessary FHIR Data Contributor role. This limitation has significant implications for our project, as it prevents us from accessing FHIR data and retrieving it automatically through our API.
To overcome this hurdle, we employed a collaborative troubleshooting approach, with our Team Lead leading a screen-sharing session to clarify the role assignment interface. While this effort didn’t yield immediate results, it highlighted the importance of continued investigation and resolution.
