Fifteen-plus years, across the built world.
Before telecom and grid, the method was proven in buildings and manufacturing — the same reality-to-decisions loop, applied to whatever a client already had.

Most buildings are heated on assumptions — coarse valves, no feedback, some rooms roasting while others freeze.
We put self-learning control at the room level and left the intelligence in the building rather than in someone else's cloud. Five rooms became fifty in a working school, on 300+ wireless sensors and 100+ radiator actuators, funded by the Swedish Energy Agency. The honest result: renovations mid-study made the energy saving impossible to validate — what it did deliver was stabler indoor climate and one shared picture across departments.

A building is designed once and operated for fifty years — and almost nothing survives the handover between the two.
Design intent, as-built reality and operational state normally live in three incompatible worlds, so operators inherit drawings that were already wrong on day one. We connect them into one interoperable model that carries forward: BIM sets the design context, GIS and CIM the wider context, automation the live state. The twin is what holds them together rather than a fourth silo.

The pattern behind most stalled building programmes is economic, not technical: every site starts from zero.
One building gets digitised as a bespoke project, it more or less works, and then the next building begins again with a different integrator relearning the same lessons. Cost resets every time. The fix is to treat the first mile as a product — a standard, repeatable way to get any building scanned, sensored and connected — and spend the expensive strategic effort only on what is genuinely unique per site.

You can rehearse a factory change in a game engine for a fraction of what it costs to discover the problem on the floor.
Spatial twins for industrial and semiconductor environments: navigable plant models driven by the same data as the dashboards, used for training, layout changes and commissioning before anything is moved. In steel this ran on top of a live planning twin — one source, two views — and went into weekly operational use.
More of the same method, other rooms.
- National digital-twin initiative
Convened and led a cross-industry National Digital Twin initiative for infrastructure planning and energy efficiency — US construction, geospatial, edge-compute and standards organizations around a federated, edge-native architecture, from concept through funded-pilot discussions with a tier-1 telecom research lab.
- Construction at scale
Built the digitalization and digital-twin roadmap for a $4B+ US general contractor, then orchestrated a three-way construction digital-twin program between the contractor's technology arm, Nokia Bell Labs and a hyperscaler — robot- and 360°-capture to cloud, aimed at one real-time platform across a national portfolio of job sites.
- Nokia Bell Labs
Dynamic digital twins and physical AI with Nokia Bell Labs: Gaussian-splat reconstruction pipelines validated end-to-end, RF-coverage digital twins into EU research programs, and a Caribbean cell-tower digitization program where the capture methodology — registration over resolution — became the template for scaling.
- Net Zero / carbon markets
Strategic advisor since 2022 to a Gulf-region carbon-credit platform: digital-twin strategy for Net Zero, US renewable-energy-credit market entry and investor positioning, alongside a patented US smart-energy technology founder.
- Hydropower / smart plant
Smart-plant digital twins for a Nordic hydropower operator — applying the SMILE methodology to plant reality, resilience and the path toward autonomous operations.
- Smart heating
Led a Swedish Energy Agency-funded program scaling self-learning, edge-native heating control from one room to fifty across municipal school buildings. Renovations and equipment failures made the energy saving impossible to validate honestly; what it did deliver was stabler indoor climate and one shared picture across departments. Published open-access.
Anonymised because most were delivered under NDA. Ask us about any of them directly — we can usually say more in a call than in public.
